Prayer Requests for September 4, 2009
Since I was unable to send out my email to ask for new and updated prayer requests, I will repost the ones from last week with the only new ones being from Marie who regularly sends me a copy of her prayer chain.
From Fred in AZ – We have found a house that we want to purchase. It’s on “short sale” so it may be some time before we find out if we are approved. Please pray that we are able to buy this home.
From Gloria in FL – I still have not found those VERY important papers. Please pray that I will soon be able to locate them.
From Beth in FL – Seems like things are pretty much as they were. No jobs for Kathy in Australia. Her son is back in college there. Praise God for the almost free education in Australia for persons born there. Kathy is a go-getter so someone has to recognize it and have a place for her. Rick works once or twice a week in the food/drink industry. He is going to lifeline/Bible study with his mother and I, and taking his children ages 3 & 5 to their classes. He has enrolled in the junior college for the fall so as to prepare for other roles. The Lord helps those that help themselves is a true adage. But his timing is not ours, so patience, dear Lord and help us to stretch the loaf much further. My health has a setback. My right hip has severe pain. I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me a shot of cortisone. Not much better today. I’m counting on it working! Thanks for your prayers.

From Diane - My niece Maeve, who is three months old, was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. I know that prayers works and ask you all to say a prayer for little Maeve and her mom, Lisa.
From Millie - Please ask the entire prayer circle to pray for the economy ... so many people are losing jobs, and those of us in retirement are finding our nest eggs disappearing, even though we were careful and did everything "right".
From Patty – Please pray for my dad who has cancer.
From Lisa -Please pray that my stepson will make healthy choices for his life now that he is out of prison. Please also pray for my safety and that he won't break into the house, and that any fear I may have would be replaced by faith and the knowledge that the Lord is in control of all things.
From Christine - please pray for my fiancé and I both who have been laid off... I am a single mother, I have bills, my son has braces, we need food.... Please, please, please pray for us.
From Tarja – My father Jim has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has had the tumor removed. It was found to be cancerous. He will have lengthy chemo treatment. Please pray for Tarja’s mom who has congestive heart failure and an abdominal hernia. Please pray for Tarja that God will grant her the patience and strength to get through these difficult times.
From Jonna in TX - Please pray for my friend Joe and his wife Laurel as Joe battles liver cancer. They have had good news recently that his tumor is shrinking so all the prayers are working, but they still need all the additional prayers they can get.
Praise From WhiteDove - Recently, after 6 weeks in bed and not much nourishment, near starvation, my husband started coming around and walked for the first time in 6 weeks. His pain had left and he now is taking solid foods and strength is returning. he has therapists coming to the house to assist him again in using the arms and legs again, he had a right sided stroke in 2006 and this illness just about took him. Praise the Lord and a grateful thank you to all who prayed for his recovery, we do need each other.
From Jody in Utah –1. Mark Hauser’s complete healing from cancer-to God's Glory 2.Truth to be desired and repentant hearts re: the resignation of our new Pastor. 3. Wisdom as we move forward and looking for a God centered, Bible believing church here in a place where 80% of population is Mormon and the existing Christian churches are battered.
From Suzanne - Please pray for my husband to get a job as he has been busy applying for several jobs downtown since we moved closer there. The jobs are at the hotels and newspaper place. Thank you.
From Michele D. - My brother's wife, Laurie continues to fight cancer of the esophagus. Thanks for your continued prayers! May God richly bless each one of you.
From Elaine in GA – I’d like to ask a special prayer for my son's needs. We are edging back into a drought again. We need rain. We have begun to get some and we are grateful for that but we continue to ask that God will bless us again with it. Additionally, on a personal level, I'd like to ask for prayers for myself to be a stronger and more secure Christian and to allow God to do His work in my life without me being fearful of the future. We thank God for His blessings and we ask that all our children be blessed by the evidence of the love of our Father. Our prayers are being answered and I’m very grateful for everyone’s prayers.
From Ruth – Please continue to keep Peggy and Eric in your prayers for continued healing of Eric’s feet, for peace within the family, and for their financial needs. Praise: Peggy and Eric have arrived safely in Ocala, have closed on their house, and are busy making all the new homeowner arrangements involved in moving in. Thank you all for your prayers. Also prayers for Eric’s brother and nephew for personal issues. Please keep my husband Merle’s back pain in your prayers as well. Thank you for your prayers. (Updated 9-4-09)

From Michele - Please pray for my mother Darlene a stroke patient of 13 years who is 1/2 paralyzed, unable to speak, bedridden, has peripheral artery disease, has seizures and is normally in a lot of pain. Please pray for her not to be in pain and know that she is loved by the lord and her family. Please pray for my friend Carrie's son Zackary with leukemia. Please pray for healing of Zackary.
From Sue in CT: Praises to God that my son is out of depression, my two carpal tunnel surgeries went well, my pulled shoulder muscle is improving and we are getting lots of beautiful rain.
Pray for Stacey - She has a growth on her kidney or liver that the doctors are watching and also her blood sugar was too high. She also has a thyroid problem and back problems.
From Olga - My friend Juan Pablo's wife was diagnosed with Melanoma on her lower jaw,... can you help me praying for my friend's wife?. Thanks a bunch.

Please pray for their friend Liz, whose daughter Gabriella age 4 was diagnosed with the swine flu. She has been running a high fever and will be admitted to the hospital for intravenous medication. Liz and her husband live in Oklahoma City and are starting a missionary school and also have two other children and no family close by. Please pray for the healing of this little girl, for comfort, strength, and the Lord's grace to get through this. And also pray for their ministry.
Please pray for their friend Dena who has stage 3-4 cancer and it has spread to her lungs - She has been given a few weeks to months to live. Please pray for comfort, & peace, and God's will to be done and for her daughter Taylor who is 13 yrs. old. Thank you for praying for these families; please pray for Mike & Nadine as this is very hard for them. (Patty)
Praise Report: Pastor Chris saw Ann Marie B (gramma) yesterday and said she looks wonderful. She is doing well, hopefully will be going back to her own home sometime next week. She is getting stronger and can hardly wait to get back to her normal routine. She is an amazing woman with such strong faith! Thank you Lord for healing gramma and for her being such a witness of how she trusts in you; She is still in Marlborough Health Care Center - She is so blessed with all the cards that have come her way!
Please continue to pray for a complete healing, the Lord's peace and strength. We will keep you posted. Thank you for praying, (Patty)

From Pam - COPD .. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She stays short winded, and congested, with nonstop coughing at times. It's a very uncomfortable disease, and is also a real stressor
From Patty - Please continue to pray for my nephew Ron's wife Susan going through extensive radiation treatments daily and some chemo. Please continue to pray for her and Ronnie's salvation, for the Lord's strength, peace, and His will to be done. Thank you for praying for my family!
