Prayer Requests for October 16, 2009
From Carl McKeever: Please pray for my school, ITT Tech. They pushed my graduation back to December 2009 due to enrollment issues and all of my classes at DeVry University have been dropped. I have made my final decision: to obtain my Associate's degree and find a full-time job to help me get back up on my feet. Please pray that I will be able to complete this task.
*New* From Kay - 1)Please pray for Marla-she has just had MOHS surgery to remove cancer from above and on her lip followed by reconstructive surgery. 2) Please pray for Grace-she has just had knee surgery and has had complications from the anesthesia. 3) Please pray for all our FC/DC friends as they all are facing some kind of struggles
From Fred in AZ – We have found a house that we want to purchase. It’s on “short sale” so it may be some time before we find out if we are approved. Please pray that we are able to buy this home.
From Gloria in FL –My daughter Mary still has not found a job. Please pray for her. Janice’s foot is getting better and she does not have a diabetic related infection. My friend Pete is currently incarcerated for something he didn’t do and is appealing. The stress has given him shingles. Please pray for Pete. Also, see my ad under Book Store and More.
From Beth in FL – I am happy to report that Kathy, my daughter in Australia has work – just in time, her savings had lasted just right, praise God, he knew! Rick, my 30 year old grandson who lives with us and has the 2 children, has begun community college and only one day work per week for several months. So, it has been very difficult for his mother. My daughter is to began work on 10-3. Please pray that he can continue school and work too.

From Diane - My niece Maeve, who is three months old, was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. I know that prayers works and ask you all to say a prayer for little Maeve and her mom, Lisa.
From Millie - Please ask the entire prayer circle to pray for the economy ... so many people are losing jobs, and those of us in retirement are finding our nest eggs disappearing, even though we were careful and did everything "right".
From Patty – Please pray for my dad who has cancer.
From Lisa -Please pray that my stepson will make healthy choices for his life now that he is out of prison. Please also pray for my safety and that he won't break into the house, and that any fear I may have would be replaced by faith and the knowledge that the Lord is in control of all things.
From Christine - please pray for my fiancé and I both who have been laid off... I am a single mother, I have bills, my son has braces, we need food.... Please, please, please pray for us.
From Tarja –Please pray for Mom who has congestive heart failure and an abdominal hernia. Because of scarring from previous operations, the doctors don’t want to operate again, but she really wants it so they are working in steps to get her ready for it. Please pray for my Gram who has heart problems and stress. Please pray for my husband and I as we look for new jobs.
From Jonna in TX - Please pray for my friend Joe and his wife Laurel as Joe battles liver cancer. They have had good news recently that his tumor is shrinking so all the prayers are working, but they still need all the additional prayers they can get.
*New* From Jody in Utah –Thank you all so much for your prayers!! We just found out that mom has ovarian cancer and the early stages of lymphoma. She will take 10 months of chemo (one day a month for 10 months) to shrink the tumor and then they will schedule surgery to take out the uterus. I am not sure why they aren't going to take out the ovarian cancer first, since it is what has spread to the lymph(other than the recovery time for a hysterectomy might delay the chemo for the lymph?); however, I will ask mom to ask questions and will pray for God to clarify and give wisdom to the doctor and the praying folk! We would greatly appreciated your prayers for complete healing for mom! She is awesome and in God/Great Spirits. She has made so many changes to her diet in an attempt to be as healthy as all get out for chemo- no meat, processed sugar(proven cancer feeder in many noted studies), raw veggies, organic fruits, green tea, vit.D, krill oil, alkaline water and so much more. She gets great sleep and has been exercising 2 hrs. a day. I am so thankful for and proud of her- my sister and I were talking and both agree that mom is the most positive person we know and as mom says, "Honey, I am experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding. " She is completely leaning on and loving the Lord! To God be the Glory!! Praising God for all of you!!

From Elaine in GA –I think we all need to pray for our nation. I’d like to ask a special prayer for my son's needs. I'd like to express my thankfulness for the answered prayer concerning our need of rain. I still need to ask for prayers for myself to be a stronger and more secure Christian and to allow God to do His work in my life without me being fearful of the future. We thank God for His blessings and we ask that all our children be blessed by the evidence of the love of our Father. We thank God, our Father, for answered prayer and for His gift of patience while we wait
From Ruth – Please continue to keep Peggy and Eric in your prayers for continued healing of Eric’s feet, and for their financial needs. Peggy has a new personal assistant and I would ask for prayers that she is kind and loving and does a good job. Also prayers for Eric’s brother and nephew for personal issues. "Pray for Becky as she adapts Child Evangelism Fellowship teaching materials for village use and teaches English to a group of Battambang Ministry Center neighbors."

"Praise God that Ohn, Dara, and Sareth asked me (Kevin) to start an English Bible study with them, after years of many people praying for them.

From Michele - Please pray for my mother Darlene a stroke patient of 13 years who is 1/2 paralyzed, unable to speak, bedridden, has peripheral artery disease, has seizures and is normally in a lot of pain. Please pray for her not to be in pain and know that she is loved by the lord and her family. Please pray for my friend Carrie's son Zackary with leukemia. Please pray for healing of Zackary.
From Sue in CT:- Prayers for my back, aching with arthritis. Prayers for an autistic child having a rough time growing up. Prayers for our government, for our hurting planet, and for all suffering people to come to know God.
Pray for Stacey - She has a growth on her kidney or liver that the doctors are watching and also her blood sugar was too high. She also has a thyroid problem and back problems.
From Olga - My friend Juan Pablo's wife was diagnosed with Melanoma on her lower jaw,... can you help me praying for my friend's wife?. Thanks a bunch.
From Mary Jo: Please continue to pray for Justine Pierce. She is on a waiting list at Cleveland Medical center waiting for a lung transplant. Please add Joe Evans He was recently diagnosed with brain cancer.
From Pam - COPD .. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She stays short winded, and congested, with nonstop coughing at times. It's a very uncomfortable disease, and is also a real stressor
From Patty - Please continue to pray for my nephew Ron's wife Susan going through extensive radiation treatments daily and some chemo. Please continue to pray for her and Ronnie's salvation, for the Lord's strength, peace, and His will to be done. Thank you for praying for my family!
