Prayer Requests for May 29, 2009
*New* From Carl McKever in FL – Please announce that I have been elected for Florida State Poets Association Web Administrator. No prayer requests, although I am still unemployed and looking for a job.
From Michael of Big Bend Poets – members who are not in best of health: Larry Gross, Beth Stevenson, Trudy Plotz, Bill Woods
From Diane - My niece Maeve, who is three months old, was diagnosed with Osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. My niece's insurance won't pay for the testing or for care for Maeve. The Drs. figure she will eventually be in a wheelchair. At this time she is so tiny she isn't even near where she should be for her age. She also is not developing well with any of her motor skills. I know that prayers works and ask you all to say a prayer for little Maeve and her mom, Lisa.
Please remember Georgina, I would like to ask for prayers for Georgina. She was born with a number of health problems. Her heart is in the wrong place and her abdomen muscles are not developed.
From Millie - Please ask the entire prayer circle to pray for the economy ... so many people are losing jobs, and those of us in retirement are finding our nest eggs disappearing, even though we were careful and did everything "right". Young people with good careers will recover from this economy if they are careful, but those of us who are facing old age or are otherwise financially stressed with children, mortgages, or loved ones with illnesses, are facing possible poverty through no fault of our own. Surely the Lord does not intend to reward the greedy who have stolen the fruits of our labor, or for those of us who have followed all the sensible financial rules to lose our future possibilities to praise His name.
From Eileen: I needed a rest from the chemo. So right now I am trying to regain my strength. I have to walk with a walker and I am not happy with that. The next step is another cat scan.
From Patty – Please pray for my dad who has cancer.
From Lisa -Please pray that my stepson will make healthy choices for his life now that he is out of prison. Please also pray for my safety and that he won't break into the house, and that any fear I may have would be replaced by faith and the knowledge that the Lord is in control of all things.
From Christine - please pray for my fiancé and I both who have been laid off... I am a single mother, I have bills, my son has braces, we need food.... Please, please, please pray for us, that not only do I either get called back or find another job (whatever God has planned!), but that my fiancé gets a job too. I am just in shock right now, I'm going to go to the farm and just relax. I know that prayers are answered, and that it's a powerful thing, so I thank you from the very bottom of my heart if you could include us in yours.
From Tarja – My father Jim has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has had the tumor removed. It was found to be cancerous. He will have lengthy chemo treatment. Please pray for Tarja’s mom who has congestive heart failure. Please pray for Tarja that God will grant her the patience and strength to get through these difficult times.
From Jonna in TX - Please pray for my friend Joe and his wife Laurel as Joe battles liver cancer. They have had good news recently that his tumor is shrinking so all the prayers are working, but they still need all the additional prayers they can get.
From WhiteDove - Please pray for a family to come together again. It has been over a year since I have seen or heard from 2 of my sons.. Pray both sons will have a passionate heart and come back to the family.

From Jan in VT Pray for
1) husband Paul - had total knee surgery and is in Rehab Center now. He will have his 2nd total knee surgery on May 11th and go back to Rehab Center.
2) Family of Eileen - she passed on suddenly in her sleep.
3) Mom Doris had a min-stroke; she is improving slowly.
Praise: I no longer need to use a cane; I continue with physical therapy on my left hip and knee wearing my knee brace. God is blessing us.
From Kay -Sandy needs prayers for strength and wisdom to deal with all that she is facing right now. Please pray for Lisa - for peace, direction and strength. Please pray for Marla and Brie –Brie is still having health issues and Marla needs her so. From Cyndi – Please pray for Stacey. She is having a few health concerns. She has a growth on her kidney or liver that the doctors are watching and also her blood sugar was too high 3 months ago. She also has a thyroid problem and back problems.
*New* From Jody in Utah – Please add: Pray that our home would be a perfect fit for the family who is going to see it this Sat. May 30th and that they would want to buy it. thank you!! Praise! Mark Haulser's cancerous tumors are shrinking!! Keep praying for him and his family-thanks!! Please pray for our church we have a new pastor/teaching elder and he is doing a great job preaching the truth from the pulpit; however, as it is, many in our church don't want to hear the truth --a few walked out when he asked us to pray that abortion would end. The assoc. pastor has informed him that too many people will leave if he doesn't stop he will be asked to leave the church!!! Please note our new pastor is a very soft spoken man of God and of the Word!! Please help us in prayer-nobody knows what is going on here because the new pastor and his wife have not shared this with anyone!! To God be the glory!!
*New* From Gloria – Cadi, my, Neice’s daughter had been suffering from depression and jumped off a bridge last night. I don’t know yet if she died. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Praise for my unspoken needs being taken care of.

From Charlene - problems that keep me swamped and overwhelmed such as my parents, my sons, my grandson, church, work, etc. etc.
From Michele D. - My brother's wife, Laurie continues to fight cancer of the esophagus. Her treatments are beginning to take a toll on her, and she's only half-way through. Thanks for your continued prayers! May God richly bless each one of you.
From Rogie –I just want to say a prayer of thanks to all the blessings and good things that are happening in my life right now.
*New* From Elaine in GA – I guess I'd really like to say again and again, we thank God for the bountiful rainfall. We continue to thank God for His blessing. We are still adjusting to my husband's diagnosis of diabetes and we thank God for His blessing there as well. We ask the favor of our Father in the instruction of my son concerning the truth of the Bible and with the hope that He will convict him with the Holy Spirit. We ask that all our children be blessed by the evidence of the love of our Father.
From Ruth – Please continue to keep Peggy and Eric in your prayers for continued healing of Eric’s feet, for peace within the family, and for their financial needs. Peggy and Eric are also planning to move to FL in July. Please pray for their safe drive from WA to FL and that they will find a good place to live in Gainesville. Also prayers for Eric’s brother and nephew for personal issues. Please keep my husband Merle’s back pain in your prayers as well. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for her not to be in pain and know that she is loved by the lord and her family. Please pray for my friend Carrie's son Zackary with leukemia. Please pray for healing of Zackary.
From Sue: Please pray for Rochelle, my son's fiance, who is having a difficult pregnancy, with emotional problems. Also, for my nephew Phil, who is going through a divorce. Praise God for his many blessings, including the recent news that my niece Jennie does not have cancer.

Hi everyone: Went to Middlesex Hospital and had the procedure done along with a new CTscan – I was told that results would be coming by Friday. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous; will be sitting home waiting for the call. Once again prayer would be appreciated, but you all know that.

Please pray for Jan in VT, she is visiting her daughter in TN. Pray for her visit there & pray for Paul who had two total knee replacements and is in rehab. Pray for continued strength & wisdom in her current situation. (Jan - VT)
Please pray for Mike, they did a surgical procedure & he is on his way to recuperation; the doctor told him he could go home on Friday & possibly go back to work on Monday. PRAISE THE LORD! (Marie)

From Lois – Please keep Allen in your prayers. He has had to have his bladder removed and is still facing another surgery. He has been very ill.

From Nan - I would like prayers for my mom, Shirley, continued healing post open heart and valve replacement, Niece Nikki who was hit with multiple viruses, for my father Walter to relax and not be so stressed, my brother Mike to learn to BELIEVE and have faith, before exploding. For all my dear sweet sisters and fur babies in need of special intentions and Gods love and holding them close for peace and answers to their questions. Sandie’ for the loving hands and support, Veda to be as strong as she is and relief from her hemochromocytosis, and her husband to have the sight to see how special his life and wife are and their continued love and for myself to get it together.
From Pam - COPD .. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She stays short winded, and congested, with nonstop coughing at times. It's a very uncomfortable disease, and is also a real stressor
From Patty - Please continue to pray for my nephew Ron's wife Susan going through extensive radiation treatments daily and some chemo. Please continue to pray for her and Ronnie's salvation, for the Lord's strength, peace, and His will to be done. Thank you for praying for my family!
