Prayer Requests for August 23, 2009
Please pray for Craig J - he has a severe infection in his right ear from water that got into the ear canal. The doctor has him on strong ear drops and oral antibiotics, and a steroid for two weeks. His hearing has dropped from 50% in that ear to 84% hearing loss. His other ear has 50% hearing. Please pray that this medicine will take care of the issue and that his hearing will get much better. Please continue to pray for Patty, her eye is still having some issues. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers! (Patty/Marie)
Please pray for Joe L, he starts his chemo on Monday for his lung cancer & keep his wife, Gidge in our prayers also.

Pray for Roger (Marie’s husband>>>me) he is going for cataract surgery on Wednesday on his left eye. He is a bit nervous but I know the LORD is in control & I am a very positive person; so I will do my best to keep him calm. Thanks for your prayers. (Marie)

Please pray Bill D needs prayer. He's in St. Vincent’s in Indy with extreme gall stones, a heart attack and a 3rd ailment I can't recall. He'll be having further tests tomorrow (Sunday). Please lift him up in prayer. Thanks. (Bill)
More prayer request from Joe L: This Monday, 8/24 I'll be going into the Middlesex Hospital cancer center for my first chemo session. I've been told that I'll be getting two drugs, one that is extremely powerful and another new one. The session lasts 5-6 hours and one doesn't normally get sick (nauseous, headaches, loss of energy, etc.) until 2,3,4 days later. It's different with everyone. I am going to have acupuncture on Wednesday to help with any nausea I might have. I also have a remedy from my Homeopathic doctor to help with nausea. Can you tell that I'm concerned about nausea??? As of this e-mail I'm still not sure I want to do this but I'm going to try it anyway. Does that statement make any sense? Anyway, I would like to solicit your prayers once again for this upcoming session on Monday. Thanks so much in advance. (Joe L/Marie)

Father, forgive me for letting my difficulties ruin my attitude. I want to be a blessin g to others no matter my personal circumstances. Convict me with your Spirit when I begin to focus too much on myself and my situation. Expand my heart with your grace so that I can use my inconveniences, problems, struggles, and challenges to be opportunities to share and to display your grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
