Prayer Requests for April 10, 2009
From Carl McKever in FL – Please pray that the Lord opens a door for me to get a job. My store, KFC, closed down and I am unemployed as of now.
From Eileen: I needed a rest from the chemo. So right now I am trying to regain my strength. I have to walk with a walker and I am not happy with that. The good news is that I am seeing improvement. Yesterday I was doing some walking on my own without the walker. The next step is another cat scan.
Pray for Jonathan - We are asking all prayer warriors we know to pray for Jonathan : an eleven yr old son of a dear sister friend. He was just diagnosed with a brain mass and goes to the Cleveland clinic today for an evaluation and prognosis. Please keep this little guy and his parents wrapped in prayer. Thanks bunches. hugs & loving prayers to all. *New* Update: Jonathan is out of ICU and in a regular room. Has some facial edema but no signs of ill effects and we are trusting God that none will appear. Drs predict he will be home for Easter!
From Andi –I am having oral surgery, some extensive work done and will be a long time healing. Having some extractions, some holes drilled for implants, and 2 bone spurs removed. The healing process could take anywhere from 6 – 9 months.
For Sandi – Sandy’s dad is back in the hospital. Sandy is still burning the candle at both ends and sometimes in the middle too. She is taking care of her mother and her needs, trying to insure her father gets the care he needs and driving everywhere to take care of them.
From Patty – Please pray for my dad who has cancer.
From Lisa -Please pray that my stepson will make healthy choices for his life now that he is out of prison. Please also pray for my safety and that he won't break into the house, and that any fear I may have would be replaced by faith and the knowledge that the Lord is in control of all things.
From Christine - please pray for my fiancé and I both who have been laid off... I am a single mother, I have bills, my son has braces, we need food.... Please, please, please pray for us, that not only do I either get called back or find another job (whatever God has planned!), but that my fiancé gets a job too. I am just in shock right now, I'm going to go to the farm and just relax. I know that prayers are answered, and that it's a powerful thing, so I thank you from the very bottom of my heart if you could include us in yours.
From Tarja – My father Jim has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. He has had the tumor removed. It was found to be cancerous. He will have lengthy chemo treatment. Please pray for Tarja’s mom who has congestive heart failure. Please pray for Tarja that God will grant her the patience and strength to get through these difficult times.
From Jonna in TX - Please pray for my friend Joe and his wife Laurel as Joe battles liver cancer. Update: They have had good news recently that his tumor is shrinking so all the prayers are working, but they still need all the additional prayers they can get.
From Donna – Please pray for my daughter that she can complete her CNA course and find a good job and proper care for her children while she works.

From Mary in FL - My recent CT Scan indicated a recurrence of my liver cancer. I have a very small tumor in the same area as one was removed four years ago. I will have a RFA (Radio Frequency Ablation) on April 22 at North Florida Regional in Gainesville. Please, everyone, your prayers for my recovery are needed. I am not concerned as I have had this done before but right now my anemia has also returned so there is always a problem of something going wrong. I know God is looking after me and I have faith whatever He has in store for me in the future will be a good and wonderful thing. Thank you all for your prayers during this time.

From Suzanne - We desperately need prayers for my husband to get a job as we moved to the USA from the UK. We have been here since July 9th, and we have no luck in finding a decent job, and my husband is beginning to think that the USA companies don't want to hire him as he is an UK citizen even though he has a green card. He is very depressed about not being able to work to support us both. Note: Suzanne herself is deaf and has limited vision. Please keep them both in your prayers.
From Charlene - problems that keep me swamped and overwhelmed such as my parents, my sons, my grandson, church, work, etc. etc.
From Michele D. - My brother's wife, Laurie continues to fight cancer of the esophagus. Her treatments are beginning to take a toll on her, and she's only half-way through. Thanks for your continued prayers! May God richly bless each one of you.

From Elaine in GA – we're about the same here in GA, except that the drought is still easing, thank God for His blessing on that. We are adjusting to my husband's recent diagnosis of diabetes and we thank God for His blessing there as well.
From Ruth – Please continue to keep Peggy and Eric in your prayers for continued healing of Eric’s feet, for peace within the family, and for their financial needs. Peggy and Eric are also planning to move to FL in July. Please pray for their safe drive from WA to FL and that they will find a good place to live in Gainesville. Ina F was taken to Provena hospital yesterday evening. The pneumonia has returned so please pray for this dear lady. Update on Ina F - news just came in with a better update. She does have a bit of an infection, but it is not pneumonia. She should be returned to Covington tomorrow.

From Pam - COPD .. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She stays short winded, and congested, with nonstop coughing at times. It's a very uncomfortable disease, and is also a real stressor

From D-Etta - My mom is being sent to St. Louis to see a specialist about the having too much fluid in her spine. She has had some really bad headaches
Pray for Rae Ann – for lupus complications.
Joy – has injured her wrist. Recovery may be six weeks or more. No surgery for now, just cortisone shots. If that doesn’t work, then surgery.
Chuck - Chuck has had Diverticulitis for some time now and last week he was admitted to the local hospital with an infection in the intestine.He was given an antibiotic via IV that worked against the Coumandin that he has to take for his blood disorder and it plugged up the plastic artery that was put in in Dec. and his toes were already blue as of yesterday.So they are trying to dissolve the clots. He is having something done tomorrow where they will be putting him to sleep and then he will have to be in intensive care for a while
Pam’s husband - left kidney has a blockage. He is running a fever, in pain and has blood in his urine. He had bladder cancer 3 yrs. ago and they are not sure if the cancer has come back, kidney stones or a blood clot is causing the blockage. They plan to do surgery in the morning.
Lorraine – has hurt her back.
