Merrell’s Poem
I’ve tried to walk thy narrow road
But often go astray
I will my self to walk with you
Then turn the other way
Why made thou me so wayward Lord
I cry with loudest voice
I made thee not a wayward child
For that was thine own choice
Then come into my heart dear Lord
Replace the old with new
Yes come into my hear dear lord
Replace my self with you
