Communion


The Body

I hold in my hand the body
of your son Jesus Christ.
As I partake of it, help me Lord
to realize exactly what you sacrificed
so that I might have this privilege.

Help me Lord to be worthy
of such a sacrifice. Forgive me Lord
for all I have done to offend you…
for my many sins known and unknown
which weigh upon my heart.

Show me Lord how I may
serve you daily by serving others.
Show me Lord how to share
your love and your light
as you walk beside me today.

The Blood

I hold in my hand the blood
of your son Jesus Christ…
your only son who you so
willingly sacrificed as a
new covenant with us.

As I drink, help me Lord to
understand the significance of
such love, and to show others how
they can have new life through
his death on Calvary’s cross.

Show me Lord the right
paths to walk, the right words
to say, the right spirit to share.
You are the almighty King
and we praise your holy name!
