I had a definition of what I thought was home
I thought it was where you grew up
No matter where you roam
Then my dad and mom died
And my theory did not stand
I learned that mom and dad were home
And not the house or land
Home is where your family is
Whether in a house or tent
And never in the dwelling place
Where your life is spent...
God doesn’t want us all hung up
On a house made of wood or stone
Because we were made for eternity
And heaven is our real home.
