I set it aside and didn’t pick it up again until that friend’s dog recently had to be put down. I read it yesterday and today and plan to give it back to her tomorrow. I knew she would be needing the comfort and wisdom God provides through the authors of this book. It speaks of just how “human” our pets can be, and, conversely, just how “animal” they can be. It compares their actions, habits, and attitudes to our own, shows us lessons we can learn, and urges us, through it’s end of chapter queries, to search our own lives to see what changes we need to make in our own actions, habits and attitudes.
